An international industrial machine manufacturer is currently searching for a motivated

Field Service Engineer

to support their operations in the Detroit, MI area. The ideal candidate has prior experience with field service and familiarity with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery/equipment. Travel can be 50-70%, nationwide/overnight. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

Field Service Engineer Responsibilities Include:

Travel to the customer sites and perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on equipment and machinery Provide in-person, remote/virtual (via phone and email) customer service and technical support as needed Creation of maintenance activity reports/records for upper management Other duties as assigned

Field Service Engineer Requirements Include:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred Valid driver's license Able to travel 50-70% (nationwide/overnight) Previous experience with plastic injection molding machinery or CNC machines is a plus Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance documents Good communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment Strong problem-solving skills and time management ability This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.*
