Join Our Team as a Fiber Technician I!

We're looking for a Fiber Technician to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you'll help build and maintain the fiber and HFC networks that keep our customers and communities connected.

What You'll Do

Install, splice, terminate, and maintain fiber optic systems. Conduct fiber testing using OTDRs, light meters, and related tools. Troubleshoot and repair fiber and HFC systems, including Headend equipment. Maintain and update cabling documentation and network diagrams. Assist in network expansion projects, site surveys, and system upgrades. Provide on-call support and emergency restoration for outages. Operate specialized test equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, MPEG Analyzers, PathTrak). Follow all safety standards (OSHA, NEC, FCC, and company guidelines). Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required. At least 2 years of telecommunications field experience. Strong knowledge of fiber optics; certifications (FOA, SCTE, or equivalent) are a plus. Experience with HFC or broadband networks preferred. Proficient in using fusion splicers, OTDRs, and fiber test equipment. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Must maintain a valid AB Chauffeur's License.

Work Schedule
