Family Support Specialist
BSW or BA in psychology, social work or related areas of study, with one year experience in the mental health field
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Knowledgeable in mental illness, symptomology and treatment modalities, and impact of substance abuse on course of mental illness
Positive regard for individuals challenged by mental illness
Ability to work flexible hours
Valid driver's license required
Work Responsibilities Include:
Adult psychoeducation
Teaching families strategies for coping with loved ones mental illness
Leading workshops on mental illness
Facilitate Family Support Groups
In home family consultation
In home / out of home respite visits
Engagement of consumer with socialization opportunities and activities
Attendance and participation in local, state and regional meetings
Serve as a family/consumer advocate in securing beneficial services and de-stigmatizing mental illness in the community

Projected Total Compensation: $44,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
