Position Summary: At Royal Caribbean Group, the Facilities Maintenance Technician supports the Port Miami corporate campus and other office locations in South Florida by providing general maintenance, including HVAC, handyman work, and light construction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs HVAC maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, carpentry, painting, drywall and plaster repair, electrical work, plumbing repairs, door and window repair, and repairs to furniture and finishes.
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance, including changing bulbs, ballast, and rewiring of lamps.
  • Prepares for special projects as far in advance as possible to meet deadlines and target cost
  • Keep complete and accurate records of all maintenance activity, including labor time and material cost.
  • Plans estimates, schedules, and coordinates work orders to facilitate the efficient completion of requested work.
  • Maintain equipment and materials accurate inventory
  • Assists with office relocations and office setups for new and lateral hires.
  • Assists with the planning of full floor moves and moves from one location to another
  • Performs daily inspections of MEP infrastructure
  • Develops a plan of action for significant repairs and present it to the Facilities Manager/Superintendent for consideration and approval.
  • Must have a flexible schedule (nights/weekends) five days a week to attend to emergencies, if needed.
  • Travel between all South Florida locations once or twice a week, if necessary.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • High school graduate
  • Journeyman HVAC license a must
  • 7+ years working in a corporate facilities environment
  • Certificate/ in electrical/plumbing courses preferred
  • Knowledge of CMMS work order systems
  • Spanish speaker desired
  • Minimum five years of experience in related field or activities
  • Light construction knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be a quick thinker able to examine a problem situation and come up with solutions promptly and professionally.
