The Fabrication Foreman oversees the area dedicated to the fabrication and welding of metal elements, in compliance with reference blueprints or samples and according to specified standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage employee relations.
Define and schedule the daily work shift.
Assign tasks based on production needs and personnel skills.
Oversee disciplinary matters and ensure continuous safety training updates, coordinating with the HSE.
Manage staff, fostering their professional development.
Define equipment production capacity and projected specific consumption for each stage of the production cycle.
Participate in meetings with plant management to define strategies related to the relevant production sector.
Collaborate with other departments on the design phase of new equipment/facilities.
Ensure that operating procedures for existing equipment/facilities are regularly updated.
Supervise and lead employees, coordinating appropriate training, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and support as needed.
Ensure that schedules are met, overseeing the production process, and troubleshooting any issues that arise to minimize downtime.
Maintain work records as required.
Assist technicians with troubleshooting failures of machines and systems.
Oversee simple rigging operations and occasional heavy or complex rigging.
Operate forklifts, cranes, and manlifts, as necessary.
Maintain good housekeeping by cleaning and organizing work areas.
Ensure that safe working practices are followed.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical institute degree or 5-8 years of prior experience in Steel Construction
Highly motivated individual.
Strong understanding of production cycle logical sequences.
Basic knowledge of automation concepts.
Knowledge of welding technologies.
Competence in steel fabrication and assembly.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Proficiency in safety regulations and procedures related to steel fabrication.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Able to organize and manage Reporting Requirements.
Attention to detail and precision.
Excellent problem-solving, decision making, and troubleshooting skills.
MS Office, proficiency in Excel.
Experience with Company Management Software/ERP.
