Job Overview

At Dymax, we manufacture some of the toughest heavy equipment attachments in the world -- serving rail, mining, forestry, construction, and agriculture. All of it starts in our fabrication department, where skilled operators cut steel plate with precision and care.

We're looking for a

Burn Table Operator

to join our team. In this role, you'll set up and run CNC plasma and oxy-acetylene burn tables to cut steel plate of varying thicknesses, handle materials safely, and prepare parts for the next stage of production. Responsibilities

Operate and control

CNC plasma and oxy-acetylene burn tables

to cut steel plate to specification. Handle materials using

forklifts, hoists, and other equipment

to load and unload plates. Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency.

Label and organize parts

for downstream processes. Perform

grinding/slag removal

to ensure parts meet quality and fitment requirements. Perform routine maintenance such as torch cleaning, tip replacement, and table upkeep. Inspect finished parts for accuracy and conformance to drawings. Follow strict safety protocols and use required PPE at all times. Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth production flow.

Qualifications

Previous experience operating CNC burn tables, plasma, or oxy-acetylene equipment preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and cut lists. Forklift certification or ability to obtain. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform material handling tasks. Team-oriented with good communication skills.
