JOB SUMMARY:

Implement and monitor the export control program in compliance with federal export control regulations and university policies. The job uses best practices and knowledge for regulatory compliance program activities. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
---------------
40% - Essential - Sponsored Research
Review and advise contract officers and researchers on university research agreements that may involve export control requirements to obtain an authorization or safeguard information.
25% - Essential - Program Development
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with export control regulations for university activities.
25% - Essential - Review requests for international travel, shipping, and visa requests to determine appropriate steps to comply with export control regulations.
10% - Essential - Stays current with regulatory changes for regulated data such as CUI, export controlled technology (ITAR/EAR/OFAC), and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree - and relevant experience
Work Exp 3+ years
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
---------------------------
Education - Master's Degree - Related field such as business, law, engineering, or other scientific discipline.
Work Exp 5+ years of compliance related experience; and 3-5 years experience in export control or related research compliance
Active Secret Security Clearance

Expected Salary Range ($ 80,066.00- $ 125,000.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
