We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team and be in charge of a crew, responsible for executing high-quality painting projects in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a history of professional painting, light drywall, LVP flooring and the ability to lead others. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. We do things right here and don't want people who cut corners.
Duties
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying equipment.
Lead a crew of painters and stay on schedule.
Execute residential and commercial painting projects with precision and care.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of each project.
Qualifications
Proven experience in residential and commercial painting.
Ability to lead others.
Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations.
Experience in plastering, stucco application, painting and flooring is required.
Previous maintenance person experience or skills in carpentry (frame carpentry and trim carpentry) is advantageous.
PAY: Starting pay for an EXPERIENCED painter is $20/hr for a probationary period, after 30 days that pay is increased to $25.00 if output is adequate, with performance based raises up to $30/hr.
