The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing insulation in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of various insulation materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work effectively with hand tools and other equipment. The Insulator will play a crucial role in enhancing energy efficiency and comfort within structures.

Duties

Install insulation materials in walls, ceilings, floors, and attics according to specifications that could include spray foam, blown and batt insulation. Lift concrete foundations, driveway slab and or sidewalks with foam. Fabricate insulation components as needed to fit specific areas. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for insulation installation. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation practices. Read and to understand project requirements and layouts. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.

Safety:

Adheres to jobsite safety in accordance with all federal, state, and local occupational and health and safety laws. Ensures that rig (pickup truck and trailer) is safely driven to jobsite locations.

Customer Service:

Communicates professionally with customer. Maintains a professional image and thoroughly cleans jobsite upon completion of the job.

Other:

Continuous improvement of customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety. Provides instruction and training to junior team members. Communicates any issues to Operations Manager. Performs other related duties as required.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to insulation work. Able to read blueprints accurately and a good understanding of building science as it pertains to insulation and ventilation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and crawling. Working environment may be subject to high temperatures, confined spaces, dust/dirt, hazardous chemicals, and heights. Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.

Job Type:

Full-time in the Oshkosh Wisconsin area

Pay:

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour depending on experience.

Expected hours:

30 - 50 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
