Job Description

We are seeking experienced baristas (1+ years in a fast-paced shop) to join our team in providing quality crafted gourmet coffee beverages and other beverages to our customers. Must be18+ years of age. Looking for candidates that possess an outgoing personality and are self-starters. Must be available to work 4-5 shifts per week and shifts vary from morning, afternoon to weekends. This is not a seasonal position. We are looking for candidates who can commit to a minimum of a year. We close at 6:00 pm Monday-Saturday and 2:00pm on Sunday so you have the evenings off to spend time with family and friends. Barista Duties:

• Welcomes customers by determining their coffee (or alternative drink) interests and needs.
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining the menu; answering questions.
• Prepares and sells Beany\xe2\x80\x99s gourmet beverages by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for drinks.
• Maintains inventories by replenishing supplies; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.
• Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
