Overview:

Position: Expediting
Location: Huntsville, Alabama
Duration: 3 month contract
Frequency: 16/hrs a week - part-time / one to two visits per week - 1099 assignment
Verify Europe are currently seeking a Supply Chain person to support a project being undertaken on behalf of a European customer at their supplier\xe2\x80\x99s site in in Huntsville, Alabama.
The support will be on an ongoing basis and based on production needs and delivery schedules, the supplier will require one to two visits per week.
The support includes:
Production Planning Control
- Validate that the planning matches the cusgtomer PO requirements
- Validate supplier production plan
- Monitor and build up safety stock levels of raw material or sub-components
- Engage to ensure an understand of when raw material sub-components allocated to a window
Production Output Control
- Compare production plan against actual achieved
- Work with the supplier to ensure there are systematic rework cycles necessary to complete the Windows or Opticor Raw Material Plys
The output of the visits will include, but not be limited to:
- WIP report plan vs actual
- Action list updates
- Root cause analysis for delays
The role would ideally suit a production planner, scheduler or expeditor, with the following skills background being required:
Must have a minimum of 3-years previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment- Previous experience with aircraft windows and assocaited products highly advantageous
- Hands-on part statusing / expediting experience required, ideally having previously working in a buyer / production management type role
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent IT skills, specifically around prepareing reports and completing excel based WIP reports
- Ability to prioritise workload, and meet stringent deadlines.
