POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Evictions Manager will oversee all aspects, coordination, platform design and management of portfolio-wide eviction activity pertaining to VineBrook Home\xe2\x80\x99s collections process. Working directly with the Director of AR and Collections, the Eviction Manager will establish a best in class eviction management platform to efficiently manage eviction activity across a growing portfolio of Single-Family Homes. The platform \xe2\x80\x93 a combination of workflows, technological solutions, and team members, will ensure timely and effective management of the processes across various States and local Markets, focused on efficiency and transparency. Critically, the business leader will ensure VineBrook is compliant with all legal and Fair Housing regulations at the Federal, State and Local level.

This position will oversee compliance with corporate governance, establish best practices related to eviction management, and establish the prudence of pursuing legal action. Superb negotiation and analytical skills are necessary, in addition to organizing and managing a high volume of activity across a distributed network of external attorneys. A successful Eviction Manager should be organized, professional and well informed while ensuring that all engagements are legal, binding and in the best interest of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop the platform of workflows, reports, dashboards, and team members to effectively manage portfolio-wide eviction activity
  • Develop relevant reporting to deliver transparency of all activity to best support efficient and timely resolution of collection events and maximize collections or minimize delinquent occupancy
  • Anticipate issues estimate, mitigate, and/or eliminate risk strategically
  • Manage organization\'s eviction related legal matters
  • Provide expert and strategic legal advice as it pertains to all matters of evictions and balance management
  • Maintaining knowledge of organization\xe2\x80\x99s operations and legal documents
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
  • At least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Practical experience in real estate law, collections policies, and eviction processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to businesses
  • Proficient understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills
  • Displays sound judgment and attention to detail
  • First class interpersonal and communication skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

The Eviction Manager will lead the eviction process and manage the team of relevant managers, clerks, and external attorneys to effectively lead the portfolio-wide evictions management.
