POSITION SUMMARY The duties and responsibilities of an Events Manager center on planning and running events of varying sizes and purposes. He/she must understand what it takes to ensure event logistics are flawlessly executed upon, maintaining costs within the allocated budget, and confirming that the event is carried out smoothly. The Events Manager is required to network with a wide variety of entities including vendors, venues, and an entire staff in order for an event to function properly. He/She will carry out many tasks on their own, but an aspect of the job is working with a team and ensuring that everyone has what they need to do their job during the event. The Events Manager will also be responsible for keeping costs within the allocated budget, which requires a degree of financial skill. An ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in logistics to properly plan the details, track progress, measure results, and adapt quickly as changes arise.   • Coordinate both large and small scale events for Cardone Ventures that generate client flow into the business
  • Develop and monitor event plans, event schedules, budgets and expenditures
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues
  • Plan event details including location, seating, registration, and menu options
  • Assign duties to Cardone Ventures team members to ensure all responsibilities are covered
  • Adhere to Events budget for all expenses and maintain proper records of receipts
  • Manage events and address potential problems that may arise
  • Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment across all team members for the event
  • Maintain communication with all guests by providing accurate and detailed information regarding upcoming events
  • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from pre and post-event meetings
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials and equipment for events
  • Maintain the event inbox, respond to inquiries, and follow up with event reminders
COMPETENCIES
  • Ability to plan, organize and monitor several events occurring within a short time frame
  • Understanding of financial concepts in order to understand and maintain event budgets
  • Be a self-starter and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to pivot quickly and efficiently as issues arise during the events
  • Ability to measure client satisfaction through survey analysis
  • Demonstrates attention to detail in creating event trackers and developing expense reports
  • Ability to coordinate both in-person and virtual events simultaneously
  • Ability to be accurate and timely in order to book hotel and flight accommodations for multiple team members
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse customer, colleague, and vendor population
  • Demonstrate ability to accommodate both large and smaller scale events, and tailor logistics to the scope of the event
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 2 years of event management experience
  • Degree in hospitality management, public relations or relevant field is preferred
  • Substantial experience with G-Suite (Slides and Docs)
  • Experience booking hotel and flight arrangements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Weekend availability - up to 50%
