Catering and Event Manager The Appleseed Restaurant and Catering is seeking an organized, team-oriented, and customer service focused Catering and Event Manager to join our team! We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone with passion for food, events, and making people happy. This rewarding position is involved from initial contact through the day of the event. The Catering and Event Manager works closely with clients and our catering team to execute food service for a variety of events. Let\xe2\x80\x99s create unforgettable experiences for our guests! Responsibilities: - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, managing all interactions, including new inquiries and committed events. Respond to all outreach as quickly as possible . - Plan, execute, and oversee all aspects of catering events, ensuring flawless execution and client satisfaction. Conduct site visits when appropriate. Weekend work is required. - Collect and document all information for catering events. Disseminate information to the appropriate people via BEOs, the events calendar, and contracts. - Collaborate with culinary team to create food and beverage menus, conduct tastings, and set pricing. - Coordinate staffing, equipment, setup, service, breakdown, and all other logistics to ensure a smooth event. Drive catering vans when needed. - Comply with health and safety regulations, and New Hampshire state liquor laws. - Manage catering team, including hiring, training, and supervising employees. - Collaborate with outside vendors and staff, including wedding planners, bartenders, and equipment rental firms to ensure events are successful and meet the expectation of the client. - Execute contracts and oversees the processing of deposits and final payments. Complete post event reconciliation and submits gratuities to payroll in a timely manner. Maintain catering records of past events. - Assist with marketing, including social media. - Manage and inventory all catering equipment at restaurant location. - Assist in other restaurant business operations as needed, such as menu creation and special events. Qualifications: - Exceptional customer service skills. - Ability to multitask, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and manage work time. - Excellent organization and communication. - Adaptable and calm in fast-paced, sometimes challenging, environment. - Flexible and able to work evenings and weekends when needed. Willing to put in extra hours when needed. - Ability to work with a variety of individuals (clients, culinary team, catering crew, outside vendors). - A team player who is flexible, reliable, and ready to pitch in whenever needed. - A valid driver\'s license and access to a reliable vehicle. - Professional in appearance, conduct, and speech. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn other technologies. - Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds.
