About the Event

The BYOB Holiday Lights Trolley Tour is an event produced by Holiday Lights Trolley LLC. This tour has been running in 8 cities for the last 10 years. We are seeking an Event Manager for the 2025 Kansas City BYOB Holiday Lights Trolley Tour event.

Event Manager Responsibilities:

The Event Manager will report to a Project Manager who will manage EMs in 10 cities. The Kansas City EM will be responsible for the daily management, execution and overall success of the event in Kansas City.

Main Responsibilities Include:

*Staff Hiring: Screening resumes, Interviewing potential candidates for tour guide positions

*On boarding new staff with all paperwork

*Staff Management: Training, scheduling, communication with staff

*Supply Management: Preparing supplies, restocking and making sure each event venue and staff have supplies they need

*Customer Management: Communication with all customers in Kansas City

*Event Quality: prepare and execute event to highest quality

*Vendor Management: Point of contact for trolley companies and all event venue bars

*On-Site Presence - On-site at venues to oversee staff and overall event management

Requirements:

*Contract Dates: 10/12/25-1/5/26

(Scope of Work and EM Calendar will be provided during interview process)

*Must be available for the following:

10/12-10/14

Event Manager Training in Detroit (Travel and accommodations provided)

11/28-11/30 and select dates 12/3 - 12/28

: Event Manager must be on-site in Kansas City

11/28-12/28

(excluding 12/24/24 and 12/25/24): Event Manager will be on-call whenever the event is running

*Four year bachelor degree (preferred)

*Laptop computer to use for the job (required)

*Proficient with Google Docs and ability to learn Event Management Software.

*Demonstrated leadership experience

*Dynamic and engaging personality

*Great public speaking skills

*Highly organized with good time management skills

*Strong problem solving ability

*Passion for events, people and fun!

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
