Job Summary

As a Rigging professional you will safely install, secure, and suspend equipment for live events, such as lighting, audio, video, and staging elements, using structures like trusses. Your expertise will ensure that all rigging operations are performed with precision and safety, allowing projects to progress smoothly. You will work closely with various teams to lift, position, and secure loads using appropriate rigging techniques and equipment.

What you'll do

Set up and inspect rigging equipment such as hoists, pulleys, and cables to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Hang, Install or Breakdown decorative items such as draping, chandeliers and other lighting elements for weddings and special events. Collaborate with project managers and operators to determine the best rigging methods for each specific load. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing rigging tasks. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during rigging operations to minimize downtime.

Basic qualifications

Proven experience in rigging operations within theatrical and event settings. Strong understanding of load calculations and rigging principles.

Preferred qualifications

Certification in rigging or related fields is highly desirable. Familiarity with various types of lifting equipment and their applications. Experience working in high-pressure environments while maintaining safety standards.

Work Hours

Part Time: Vary weekly depending on event needs and the season we are in. Most events set up during the week with some weekend set up times as well as load out times.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
