Duties

Assist with the coordination and execution of various events, including corporate functions, banquets, fundraisers, and community gatherings Support event marketing efforts by promoting events through social media, email campaigns, and on-site signage Collaborate with vendors, caterers, venue staff, and clients to ensure all event requirements are met Manage event logistics such as setup, breakdown, catering arrangements, and guest registration Handle customer service inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm to enhance guest experiences Assist in negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms Maintain accurate budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective event management Uphold organizational standards by managing timelines, schedules, and detailed checklists to guarantee smooth operations

Skills

Strong negotiation skills to secure services and contracts that benefit the organization Proven experience in event marketing and event planning with a focus on customer engagement Ability to upsell additional services or products during events to maximize revenue opportunities Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members effectively Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and time management abilities Previous banquet experience or familiarity with catering operations enhances performance in this role Knowledge of budgeting processes and contracts management within hospitality or events management fields Experience in hospitality settings such as restaurants or hotels is highly advantageous Skilled in guest services, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
