Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

? Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction supervision to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

?

Manage Document flow, analyze blueprints, construction drawings and other documentation to prepare accurate and timely, cost, materials, labor estimates and prepare bid summary.

?

Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes for completeness with plans and specifications.

?

Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimating figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, price lists, etc.

?

Prepare accurate estimates for purposes such as planning, organizing, scheduling work and proposals.

?

Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.

?

Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.

?

Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to construct or subcontract components.

?

Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.

?

Communicate effectively with Project Managers, contractors and other parties for clarification on items to bid.

Minimum Qualifications

? Excellent analytical skills.

?

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

?

Proficient with estimating software.

?

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

?

At least three years of related experience required.
