Position Overview:

The Equipment/Wash Plant Operator will be responsible for operating crusher machinery by using a computerized control panel. The Wash Plant Operator is a full-time, seasonal position that requires overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility. Essential Duties and Functions:

• Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules and projects Keep crusher and other associated areas clean and organized
• Operate crusher machinery by operating computerized control panel
• Work inside the enclosed booth to oversee and look down upon the machinery and crushing process
• Troubleshoot and communicate problems with ground crew
• Assist with machine maintenance, repairs, unplug shovel off conveyors/screens, repair conveyor problems, and grease moving machine parts
• Perform crusher machinery set up and take down, which includes running cables and hoses, setting up blocks, tarping, shoveling aggregate, etc.
• Operate heavy equipment/skid steer to move parts and materials if needed
• Interact with department heads at Corporate Office to ensure proper reporting of payroll hours, staffing changes, crew and equipment movements, production tonnages, mechanical breakdowns, and quality issues
• Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public at all times
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operation and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA
• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)

Position Requirements:

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen and drug test
• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request
• Loader experience
• MSHA part 46 and 48 miner certifications
• Mechanical knowledge
• Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
