Position Summary: Responsible for the Wastewater Treatment Plant daily operations, sampling, analysis, calibrations, housekeeping, sample paperwork, and general maintenance. This role is considered a temporary assignment, with benefits, beginning immediately and anticipated to end on 7/31/2025, subject to business conditions. If, at the end of that period, you have not obtained another position within BD, your employment will terminate and you will be eligible for severance benefits per the Severance Plan currently in effect. Key Responsibilities Assist the operation, oversight and maintenance compliance of Wastewater Treatment Facility by completing daily operational tasks including but not limited to:

• Daily laboratory process control sampling and analyses
• Maintenance of bar screen, clarifier, disc filter, UV system, and sand beds
• Responding to emergency situations
• Stormwater plan inspections and sampling.
• General good housekeeping
• Domestic water and process water systems.
• Chemical recovery systems.
• Inspections of hazardous waste satellite and 90-day storage areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

• Must have a minimum of \xe2\x80\x9cB\xe2\x80\x9d Biological Wastewater License from the state of South Carolina and 3 year experience with operation of wastewater treatment plants.
• Ability to obtain \xe2\x80\x9cD\xe2\x80\x9d Water Distribution License from the state of South Carolina within 1 year of hire.
• Must be able to become fork truck certified.
• Must hold a valid SC driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
• High school diploma/GED

Desired / Additional Skills & Knowledge

• Good working knowledge of safety
• Prior experience in an industrial setting
• RCRA Hazardous Waste Management

Additional Information The employees will:

• This is a full-time position; work schedule is Monday to Friday.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, use hands or arms (to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls).
• Occasionally will be required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with the assistance of drum moving equipment.
• Occasionally works in high places, in outside weather conditions, and with toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• Wear personal protective equipment required to perform this job safely.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Schedule to be determined based off qualifications and prior experience.
