Job Description

Description:

• Machinists needed for a facility in Southern Indiana!

• Machinists will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes in a job shop environment

• Will be responsible for setting up tooling, adjusting speeds and feeds, program edits, offsets, changeovers, fixtures etc.

• Will run first piece and do first piece inspection on parts

• Responsible for measuring parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.

• Machines they are operating include mills, lathes, etc.

• Will be reading G&M Codes and making edits to machine as necessary

• Reading blueprints and checking parts according to blueprints

• Run times will vary from a couple minutes to a couple hours

• Working in a job shop environment - will be doing something different everyday

Skills:

+ Previous CNC experience or schooling in machining highly preferred

+ High-level machine operating

+ Experienced in adjusting speeds, feeds, offsets, etc.

+ Programming or exposure to programming

+ Tooling knowledge

+ Reading blueprints

+ Using precision instruments

+ Mechanical aptitude

Pay:

$18-$25/hr. depending on skills and experience

Shift:

+ 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday with Overtime
