Job Description

Entry Level Production INTERNATIONAL PAPER, a major pulp and paper producer, is seeking its next generation of top operators. Our Red River Mill in Campti, LA needs entry level hourly production workers at a probationary rate of $21.77. Pay is based on position and certifications in each operating area, once a new hire certifies on the first job, on average in 3-6 weeks, they will earn $22.50 and can continue certification and development into higher rates of pay. We are looking for motivated individuals, who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity.
Requirements / Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Safely, operating machinery
• The ability to practice good housekeeping
• Accurately completing quality and administrative document checks to ensure specific directions are followed.
• Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
• Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
• Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification
• Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
• Wear required safety equipment
• Operate or work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces (with proper safety training and safety protection)

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have a stable work history, good attendance record, positive attitude and a desire to produce quality work as part of a team.
• Applicants must have a high school degree (or G.E.D.), and relevant work experience, preferably at least two years of work experience with at least one year with the same employer.
