Job Description



Aguirre & Fields is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our growing Oklahoma City team!

POSITION SUMMARY Perform design and drafting functions for assigned projects using computer-aided drafting & design programs such as OpenRoads Designer, and Microstation. Apply civil engineering techniques, terminology, practices, project schedules, plans, and processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work with the assigned Project Engineer or Project Manager and provide design support as needed.
  • Develop an understanding of design criteria and apply as applicable.
  • Assist in managing and preparing the PS&E deliverables for each assigned submittal.
  • Stay current with the latest CADD software capabilities and utilize as required.
  • Attend training (all formats) as required to maintain competency in current CADD software.
  • Assist in preparing engineering sketches/exhibits for client proposals/presentations.
  • Develop and manage project quantities as required.
  • Adhere to CAD practices, policies, and standards.
  • Acquire an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
  • Work with CADD staff regarding technical issues, training, and other CADD system issues.
  • Interact with other staff on assignments.
  • Perform CADD Operator duties as required.
  • Assume other duties as directed by the CADD Group Lead
  • Support and maintain the morale, welfare, professional development, training, and work-life balance of all assigned staff utilizing the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Guiding Principles.
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, practices, rules.
  • Serve as an example of proper conduct per Company Guiding Principles.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or comparable GED
  • Five plus years of relevant CADD experience
  • Relevant technology/software experience (OpenRoads Designer, Microstation)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
