job summary:
A global leading developer of highly automated manufacturing equipment is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team near Spring Hill, Tennessee. This continuously growing company has been established for over 75 years working with globally known clients across North America, South America, and Europe. This Manager leads Engineering staff through hands-on design, validation, and technical development of automated capital equipment. This position will have 8 direct reports.

The salary is commensurate with experience up to $170K plus relocation assistance and excellent health & retirement benefits.

responsibilities:

• Leading, mentoring, developing, and managing the work of and Engineering team

• Designing components to be manufactured via machining, sheet metal bending/rolling, welding, CNC machining and other related processes using Autodesk Inventor CAD models and drawings

• Validating designs to assure compliance with product specifications, regulatory requirements, international standards and best practices

• Leading Design and Drawing Reviews

• Solving field issues by performing and documenting Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plans

• Traveling to customer locations as needed to troubleshoot issues and ensure programs meet deadlines

• Contributing to Engineering process development
