Job Summary: The Moser Energy Systems Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the Engineering and Technical Services teams to support Moser\xe2\x80\x99s overall strategic goals. Their primary role is to ensure the success of all product development activities, product support processes, and provide technical support training for the Company\xe2\x80\x99s staff and customers. The Engineering Manager is responsible for maximizing Moser\xe2\x80\x99s technical and service capabilities, resources, personnel, products, and operating structure to support all customer demands. Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience is required.
  • Prior experience as manager of a technical or engineering team within an industrial manufacturing or power systems company providing energy products and services to customers is preferred.
Supervisor: Senior Vice President Engineering and Innovation , unless otherwise designated. Typical Responsibilities:
  • Enhances and optimizes the current organization to a higher level of development, performance, utilization, and service capability, while ensuring the quality, safety, and customer experiences are maintained at the highest levels.
  • Responsible for establishing defined KPIs and striving to evolve the current culture to one of a goal and data driven environment.
  • Establish operational and/or performance goals that are aggressive, achievable, and tied to long-term goals.
  • Create and manage an ongoing operational improvement program. Identify and assess process and procedural improvements with the goal of increasing profitability and reducing costs while maintaining quality.
  • Lead monitoring and evaluation of generator fleet issues for trends, actions, and improvements.
  • Collaborates with representatives from various functional groups assigned to the product or program, including but not limited to design engineering, purchasing, production, manufacturing engineering, and inspection staff.
  • Works with teams of engineers and product specialists to ensure design and performance specifications are achieved.
  • Reviews design, manufacturing, and testing documentation.
  • Identifies the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions.
  • Offers technical guidance and support in response to testing and analysis.
  • Ensures design and performance specifications compliance by reviewing and testing the designed systems.
  • Develop product data management, tracking, and reporting.
  • Monitor field issues and lessons learned to drive continuous product improvement.
  • Validate product processes and systems to maximize quality, reliability, performance, and safety.
  • Provide annual plans and budgets in support of the overall strategic budget and goals, established by the direct supervisor, CEO, and Board of Directors.
  • Play a lead role in management meetings, presenting relevant technical presentations and updates.
  • Provide assigned staff with ongoing feedback, direction, and guidance to ensure informed, motivated, engaged, and productive workgroup.
  • Evaluate the Company\xe2\x80\x99s current team making suggestions for additional hiring needs, and top-grading needs as applicable.
  • Establish and monitor performance-reporting systems and monitor department performance against goals to ensure that objectives are being met on time.
  • Understand the market demand of each project and make sure the Company\xe2\x80\x99s resources are well-matched to meet the needs of each customer.
  • Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
  • Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.
  • Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  • Abide by all policies and procedures established by Moser Energy Systems.
  • Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.

  • Advanced in MS Office Suite, SolidWorks, and related engineering and design software.
  • Experience with PowerBI is highly recommended.

  • Pass a drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit and/ or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to interact with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
  • To best service our customers, all employees must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as typing.
