Northwest Community Credit Union serves members from offices in 14 locations across Oregon. Northwest Community Credit Union recently announced plans to pursue a merger with TwinStar Credit Union of Lacey, WA. Endpoint Engineer Wage: $66,050- $92,470/year (dependent on knowledge, skills and abilities) Position Primary Purpose: The Endpoint Engineer is responsible for administration over the end user environments and working directly with all levels of technology and infrastructure teams, including network and server architecture. The Endpoint Engineer additionally serves as the escalated support for the service desk. Responsibilities include troubleshooting a broad range of tickets until resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots escalated issues relating to end user environments and related applications. Works directly with hardware/software vendors when necessary.
  • Serves as an administrator on active directory, specifically regarding users, user group policy, workstations, and workstation group policy.
  • Ensures multiple environments are updated with current, stable versions of both operating systems, as well as software products. Maintains currency with operating system and support software.
  • Ensures change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and upheld and provides a current, well-managed operating environment for production processing and application development.
  • Provides on-call support, when applicable, on all systems to meet departmental service level agreements.
  • Builds, develops, and manages the Windows environment, including organizing the developing of operating system technical support and operational software.
  • Works closely with Asset Managers to ensure an accurate and up to date inventory of all applicable hardware. Coordinates onboarding of employees with People and Development and the hiring Manager and deploys all new hardware to end users in a hybrid environment.
  • Collaborates with Architects to ensure optimal solutions are identified and explored for all divisions.
  • Performs security vulnerability mitigation and monthly patching of desktop operating systems and software.
  • Creates documentation for three levels of viewers: end users, departmental, and auditors.
  • Assists with training and mentoring Service Desk Technicians.
  • Defines and monitors multiple project priorities and drives automation to improve end user experiences. Provides technical and administrative supervision to ensure management is apprised of operational status of projects.
  • Provides appropriate hardware/software resources for business applications, performs capacity planning, workload modeling/prediction, and purchasing recommendations for new hardware/software upgrades.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Previous Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Financial institution experience preferred.
Education: High school diploma (GED equivalent). Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Demonstrated Abilities:
  • Ability to have ownership and autonomy to work on tasks and be pro-active in managing them end to end.
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
  • Demonstrates ability to devise creative solutions.
  • Experience in handling multiple projects with changing priorities and meeting concurrent deadlines.
  • Experience with: Windows Server OS, Windows Workstation OS, Windows Active Directory domains, Exchange, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure experience, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, VPN, Scripting experience a plus, ManageEngine Suite, understanding of Security Practices.
  • Successful track record collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to promote ideas to support business enablement.
Benefits & Other Compensation:
Employees (and their eligible family members) are eligible to enroll in a generous benefits package including health, vision, dental, life and AD&D insurance. Employees will also receive company provided life, AD&D, and long-term disability coverage and after 60 days may participate in the company\'s 401(k) retirement plan where the company matches an employee\'s contributions at 150%, up to 5%, after one year of service. Additionally, employees will receive up to 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, a minimum of 12 days of paid time off (PTO) each calendar year, and 13 weeks of paid leave used when on an approved state or federal protected leave or in compliance with company policy. The hired applicant will also be eligible for role specific variable compensation in accordance with the established plan documents.
