THIS POSTING WILL BE USED TO FILL MULTIPLE VACANCIES.



THESE POSITIONS WILL PROVIDE COVERAGE 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK. WORK SCHEDULES MAY DIFFER THAN THE STANDARD 8 AM - 5 PM MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

Schedules for these positions are as follows:

Primary Coverage (7 days):

2:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Secondary Coverage (7 days):

11:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Weekend Coverage (4 - 10 - hour shifts daytimes Friday-Monday): 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Why does the job exist?



This Emergency Response Investigation Supervisor position will provide direct supervision, guidance, and leadership to a team of Emergency Response Investigation Specialists. The supervisor will ensure that emergency responses are timely, appropriate, and consistent with policies and best practices while maintaining the safety and well-being of both children and staff during high-risk situations.

How does it get done?



Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of Emergency Response Investigation Specialists handling crisis situations, emergency investigations, and temporary supervision of children in CYFD offices. (35%);



Ensure appropriate response to emergency situations through staff deployment, coordination with law enforcement and other community partners, and direct involvement in high-risk situations as needed. (25%);



Evaluate emergency response data, develop schedules, and implement continuous quality improvement measures to optimize service delivery and staff performance. (20%);



Facilitate the transfer of information from emergency responses to primary caseworkers, ensuring comprehensive documentation and appropriate follow-up actions for child safety. (10%);



Manage staff performance, including regular supervision, coaching, training, and development to ensure delivery of high-quality emergency response services. (10%).

Minimum Qualification



Bachelor's Degree in social work, education, counseling, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or family services from an accredited college/university and three (3) years of any combination of experience including working with communities on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health, and/or health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling seven (7) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements



Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting:

late hours, weekends, on-call and callback work may be required. Will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Travel is required. Possible exposure to irate clientele. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints.
