Emergency Medical Technician-Ambulance Service
Required
HS Diploma
Kentucky EMT Certification
BLS training
Completion of annual competency assessment.
Valid Kentucky driver's license
Must be 21 years of age with two years driving experience, and must successfully pass a written Defensive driving course, which is included in new hire orientation or available through the Hospital Education department.
Preferred
2 years, current experience (Pre-hospital), or experience as Emergency Department Technician
This position contributes to Pikeville Medical Center's mission by assisting in the daily operation, and inspection of the ground transport vehicle, and the safe transport of patients being transferred to and/or from Pikeville Medical Center. The EMT works within his/her scope of practice to assist the paramedic/RN on transports as directed.
