Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer for Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Urbandale, IA you will:

• Design, develop, and test software for a broad spectrum of Deere equipment functionality
• Operate in a scrum team environment on varying projects with direction from project leads.
• Provide product support of the system(s).

What Skills You Need

• Academic or work experience in embedded software development with experience in design, development, and testing
• Software development in C++, C#, Java, or other Object-Oriented languages from academia or Internships
• Understand real-time operating system concepts
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability and experience working in a self-directed mode

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Experience with CAN communication protocols such as J1939 and ISO 11783
• Experience with continuous integration development and automated build tools
• Experience with GitHub workflow and best practices
• Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of software systems in an automotive or agricultural setting

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor\'s degree or higher in the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Ag Engineering, Mechatronics, Digital Systems and Robotics, Computer Science or Advanced Engineering Degree.
