Job overview

The HV Electrician will perform a wide variety of complex electrical and mechanical duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify plant equipment in support of operations, including both preventative and unscheduled maintenance. Work will include technical projects focused on equipment reliability improvements.

Primary responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and modify mechanical equipment/facilities.
• Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments.
• Provide general maintenance services and electrical repairs to equipment/facilities.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
• Orders necessary parts to complete repairs Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and remedy the problem.
• Ensures a safe work environment by following Linde health and safety guidelines
• Maintain current electrician\'s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Electrical certification or journeyperson status preferred
• High level of electronics controls knowledge desired
• Power supply knowledge/experience preferred
• 3+ years on the job maintenance/electrical experience required
• Must have personal computer proficiency and project management experience.
• Must be able to communicate ideas orally, in writing and lead a project team.
• Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
• Self-motivated with the ability to self-manage (set and achieve goals
