Electrician Electrical Field Service Technician

  • Traveling up to 50% throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico is required
  • At least two years of electrician or electrical field service experience and knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) is required
  • Pay is up to $35 per hour
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • No remote

This full-time, permanent Electrician Electrical Field Service Technician career opportunity is at a company recognized for excellence in their industry. The company services and rebuilds a variety of machine tools throughout North America and South America. This smaller company is very stable and has never experienced an economic layoff. Employees are not micromanaged and are trusted to make decisions in the field. If needed, technicians have access to the company owner, the electrical engineer and the mechanical engineer for any assistance or guidance. There is a variety of equipment and machines the technicians work on so there is a lot of learning and variety. Employees have the ability to move to other parts of the company if that is of interest. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
  • Prewiring equipment
  • Installing and wiring equipment at customer sites
  • Running electric conduit
  • Inspecting
  • Starting up equipment
  • Managing electrical contractors
  • Participating in repairs
  • Creating Bills or Material
  • Providing telephone customer support
  • Testing and diagnosing issues
  • Encouraging customers to purchase needed products and services
  • Travelling 50% throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico
The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered for this position:
  • Two or more years of electrician or electrical field service experience
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Possess the ability to travel 50% throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico
  • A valid drivers license with an insurable driving record
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
