We're currently hiring for open positions in the US and Canada. We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. These employees are entry level with little to no experience in the job they are working in. They are the least independent and need oversight, assistance and training from Level II and Level III employees.




To transition into this level, employees must consistently demonstrate beginner proficiency of 75% of additional skills associated with this level, as well as all required skills. They must meet the quality and productivity standards set by the department for a minimum of 6 months. Additionally, an employee must be A Class Above in Behaviors, Results and Improvement on their most recent performance review. The employee cannot have a written warning or higher in the last 6 months.
The Electrical Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly of control panels. Assembler utilizes stock electrical and mechanical components to build custom panels per job instructions. Works with little or no supervision. Interaction with Technicians or the engineering department may be required, depending on the complexity of the design.

Responsibilities

Build or assemble non-electrified and electrified components by following the specified directions from the job paperwork Required to test and initial electrified components for function Submit requests for replacement tooling or supplies Debug and troubleshoot electrical problems Complete inventory cycle counts as needed Ensure all documents are filled out completely All other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs Ability to read a tape measure Ability to read a blueprint Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision

Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel, or crouch (5%), as required. Able to climb portable ladders Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift. Able to wear hearing protectors (earplugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.
