Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Electrical Coordinator to join our team in Mason City, IA.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll get to do

  • Responsible for the implementation of mechanical and electrical maintenance systems and managing modification and improvement projects
  • Oversee the work performed by electrical crews and outside contractors as required for each job to ensure completion in a timely and quality manner
  • Provide development of direct reports and motivate staff resulting in a reliable and responsible workforce
  • Manages any urgent or breakdown jobs as required to keep equipment running and minimize downtime
  • Provide technical assistance to maintenance and electrical staff for problem resolution
  • Develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules, the priority of mechanical expenditures, and procedures for equipment maintenance
  • Monitor the acquisition and use of materials to meet productivity and budgetary goals
  • Provide oversight and management to the mechanical and electrical maintenance function and control system\xe2\x80\x99s personnel
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of corporate guidelines, conducting training, and monitoring compliance
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the maintenance function by:
  • Identifying and implementing development opportunities for electrical maintenance staff
  • Providing technical expertise to assist the production, process, and maintenance departments
  • Proactively managing health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company\'s health & safety performance
Essential Experience and Skills
  • Electrical Engineering Degree
  • 8 years of electrical maintenance experience; 5 years supervisory experience
  • Solid understanding of preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance guidelines, techniques, and technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate others
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, and decision making
  • Strong communication skills to ensure coordination of work and completion of tasks
  • Experience working with large rotating heavy industry machinery and equipment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including MS Excel, Word, Access, and Project
  • Working knowledge of SAP
Work Environment
  • Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions
