POSITION SUMMARY
Plaza de Nuestra Comunidad is seeking a full-time bilingual (English/Spanish) Education Program Coordinator to serve as the central coordinator for the Education programs. The Education Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Education team's administrative staff, instructors, and community partners to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of all education programs. They will (re)establish and coordinate/lead family engagement to enhance client experience and impact. Finally, the Education Coordinator will assist with other administrative tasks to contribute to a successful Education administration team. This role requires strong organizational skills, understanding of community engagement, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple program components simultaneously.

PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
?Coordinate program logistics and spaces with school district personnel; address ongoing site needs; fill in as On-Site Coordinator when needed.
?Support Education Manager with staff recruitment, training, professional development, and leading staff meetings.
?Coordinate supplies and materials by tracking instructor needs and ensuring teaching materials are prepared across programs.
?Develop and maintain program documents, such as calendars, applications, databases, tracking tools, instructor packets, surveys, contracts, and communication materials.
?Lead outreach and communications with clients, students, and families, ensuring timely updates on schedules, expectations, and engagement.
?Coordinate family and parent-engagement activities, including creating annual schedules, contracting community facilitators/volunteers, and occasionally leading enrichment activities.
?Implement parent engagement plans, maintaining communication channels and calendars, collecting parent feedback, and supporting involvement in orientations, celebrations, and workshops.
?Support student assessments and facilitate program workshops, field trips, and career-transition activities in collaboration with partners.
?Monitor and evaluate engagement, ensuring grant requirements are met and participant feedback is incorporated.
?Regularly attend programs to offer direct, on-site support to staff and clients.
?Family Engagement development - In addition to the specific family engagement tasks listed above, the Education Coordinator will develop and strengthen family engagement for our programs in coordination with the Education Manager by:
?(Re)defining the purpose and goals of family engagement in designated programs and effectively communicating them to staff, instructors, and clients.
?Creating and implementing a family communication strategy that reflects an understanding of community engagement and digital marketing.
? Developing and maintaining a family engagement monitoring and evaluation plan and incorporating qualitative and quantitative data into meaningful family engagement adjustments.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined above, the Education Program Coordinator will be part of the Education administration team and will periodically help with other tasks in support of the successful delivery of all of our programs. Potential tasks include assisting with:
? Fundraising activities.
?Coordinating cultural events.
?Tabling at festivals and community events.
?Representing Plaza at community forums and collaborative meetings.
?Staffing the administrative office when the Student Services Coordinator is not available.
?Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be friendly, approachable, flexible, and respectful; have a passion for our mission; enjoy working with people from a wide variety of cultures; work well as part of a team; and have a talent for organizing and managing details. The coordinator should take the initiative to develop the programs beyond the minimum stated requirements and be able to work independently to determine and complete tasks onceestablished with the organization. Additional requirements include:
?Advanced oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish (language skills will be tested).
?Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
?Minimum education requirement: Associate's degree, preferably with focus in nonprofit administration, business administration, social work, education, or other related areas of study.
?Demonstrated high attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
?1-2 years prior experience coordinating programs or other relevant experience.
?Minimum 6 months prior experience actively doing or supporting community or family engagement.
?Experience collaborating with other organizations or teams to accomplish projects or deliver programs.
?Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, multimedia software/programs (e.g. Canva, ClipChamp), keyboarding, and prior experience using any database.
?Availability to work a varied schedule.
?Must have own transportation.
? Ability to lift 25 lbs.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
?Classroom teaching or workshop facilitation experience.
?Experience completing outreach.

?Fall & spring terms: 2:30-8:00 PM, Mon-Thurs
?Winter term: 2:30-5:30, Mon-Thurs
?Summer term: 10:00-2:00, Mon-Fri
?The Education Coordinator will work in various locations to meet the needs of the
programs that are offered throughout the community, including:
?Plaza Springfield office (primary location)
?Schools in the Springfield and Bethel districts
?Lane Community College
