Best known for Little Debbie\xc2\xae snack cakes, America\xe2\x80\x99s leading snack cake brand, Sunbelt Bakery\xc2\xae granola products, and Drake\xe2\x80\x99s Cakes\xc2\xae, McKee Foods Corporation is seeking an Order Fulfilment Technician to join our growing eCommerce Fulfillment Center team. As the consumer trends of purchasing products has shifted to more online sales, McKee Foods is has made changes to accommodate our consumers. To better serve these customers, we have created a fulfillment center dedicated for eCommerce. In this facility, we fill pallets, cases and carton level demands for online orders. This is an exciting opportunity for McKee Foods, and we are looking for qualified candidates ready to take on this challenge. Pay $18.60 - $19.76 per hour Schedule 1st Shift Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. \xe2\x80\x93 3:00 p.m.; other hours as needed. Job Summary Fulfillment Center Technicians are responsible for filling direct to customer and direct to retail orders using pick list or software application.
  • Pick merchandise from bins or shelves following a pick list or software application
  • Prepare and package orders for shipment according to customer requirements
  • Ensure completeness and correctness of all orders filled
  • Prints shipping labels using the appropriate business system
  • Separate completed shipments by carrier and type
  • Operates forklifts in order to load, unload, transport, and stack material while ensuring that loads are secure and undamaged
  • Operates stretch wrap machine and stretch wrap product as appropriate
  • Unload trailers and store product appropriately
  • Puts inbound shipments into storage by following put-a-way rules
  • Supplies product based on first-in-first-out procedures, utilizing the pull sheet to determine the correct sequence
  • Load finished goods racks with product following first-in-first-out procedures
  • Break down boxes and place in designated areas
  • Pull expired inventory based on ship no later than guidelines
  • Assists with cleaning duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months of related work experience
  • A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and good driving record to obtain a McKee Foods Lift Truck Operator (LTO) license
  • Flexible to work in a lean environment where processes are being developed and where you may be asked to fill other functions as needed
  • Able to achieve proficiency in all order fulfillment tasks and seamlessly move between tasks to ensure shipments are processed efficiently
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements to make processes more efficient
  • Good problem solving skills
  • High initiative and the ability to exercise independent judgement to take necessary steps to meet customer requirements
  • Ability to use handheld scanners
  • Working knowledge of basic computer functions and the ability to learn new software applications
  • Ability to work in a fulfillment center environment that may be noisy, walking and standing for long periods of time, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and using mechanical equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow written instructions
  • High degree of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high level of focus, energy and motivation while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills
  • Understanding of and adherence to company food safety, product purity, procedures
  • Demonstrates workplace behavior that is consistent with company policies and values
  • Communicates job information to accomplish work tasks
  • Maintains good attendance as defined by company and/or department policy
  • Practices good personal hygiene and maintains a clean work area

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of shipping, order fulfillment or warehouse experience
  • Current Lift Truck Operator (LTO) license
