Prodigy Early Learning at Epperson is a Reggio-inspired and Montessori-influenced school that belives children learn best through hands-on exploration and meaningful experiences. Our educators guide children to think creatively problem-solve, and discover the world around them in a nurturing, respectful environment. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher who will play a vital role in nurturing and educating young children in a supportive and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and be committed to fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. This position requires creativity, patience, and an understanding of childhood development principles to create an enriching learning experience.

Responsibilities



Create a calm, engaging classrooms environment inspired by Reggio Emilia and Montessori principles. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, and overall childhood development. Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents regarding their child's development. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills through group activities and interactions. Collaborate with other educators to develop curriculum that meets the diverse needs of all students, including those with special education requirements. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Skills



Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience working with children in a preschool or educational setting. Proficiency in literacy education strategies and math instruction for young learners. Ability to develop engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of preschoolers. Familiarity with toddler care practices and developmental milestones. Understanding of special education needs and strategies for inclusion. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children.

Qualifications



Experience working with children ages 1-5 preferred. CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) preferred. DCF 45 hours (or willingness to complete upon hire). CPR/First Aid/AED certification Positive attitude, team player, and passion for early childhood education Knowledge of Reggio Emilia and/or Montessori practices a plus
