Wyoming Child & Family Development, Inc. is currently seeking a
qualified Early Childhood Special Educator
to join our dedicated team. This position can be based out of Douglas, Glenrock, or Wheatland, Wyoming. This is a
full-time position
(40 hours/week, 186 days/year) working with children from
birth to five years old
with developmental delays and special needs.
Training Opportunity Available:
We welcome applicants who are current education professionals with experience and a strong passion for special education. A degree in Early Childhood Special Education or a related field is preferred, but if you do not yet hold special education certification, we are committed to supporting your professional growth. We will provide training to help you succeed as an Early Childhood Special Educator, and candidates must be willing to pursue PTSB certification if required to meet qualifications.

About the Role:
As an
Early Childhood Special Educator
, you will serve as an integral member of the
Multidisciplinary Team
, providing early intervention services, educational assessments, and individualized instruction to young children with special needs. This position includes responsibility for developing and implementing
Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
and
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
in close coordination with families and other service providers.
You will case manage a dynamic caseload across Converse and Platte counties (with potential travel to Goshen and Niobrara counties), ensuring continuity of services and supporting developmental milestones through evidence-based practices. A company vehicle is provided for all work-related travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct developmental screenings, assessments, and evaluations
Develop and implement IFSPs and IEPs
Provide direct, individualized instruction aligned with early childhood special education best practices
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and service providers to support child development goals
Maintain accurate records and monitor progress toward goals
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong ability to connect with children ages 0-5 and their families
Effective communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
Ability to work within a flexible schedule and adapt to daily changes
Bachelor's Degree in
Early Childhood Special Education
,
Special Education
, or a related field
Wyoming endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education, or ability to obtain a provisional endorsement within a set timeframe
Willingness to complete additional training or certifications as required
