Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration following prescribed guidelines Support clients during meal preparation and feeding as needed Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals Engage clients in recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being Assist with transportation to appointments or community outings Support clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized caregiving techniques Maintain documentation of care provided and client progress in accordance with agency policies

Skills

Experience or training in assisted living, patient care, nursing home, senior care, hospice, or home care preferred Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or transfers Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety procedures Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism Basic cleaning skills to ensure a hygienic environment for clients Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Valid driver's license is a plus for transportation duties
