DUAL RATE SLOT TECHNICIAN/SLOT ATTENDANT Position Summary Dual Rate Slot Technician/Slot Attendant- As technician responsible for the repair and maintenance of all slot equipment and table game shufflers.
As attendant performs jackpot payouts. Conducts minor machine repairs. Walks the gaming floor looking for guests who need service. Responds to slot machines in a timely manner to resolve guest issues. Keeps casino floor clean of cups, and pushes in chairs.
Job Specifications
  • Previous experience in slot department preferred, but willing to train if all other qualifications are met
  • Performs repairs, overhauls, and preventative maintenance, including cleaning, on all slot machines on property.
  • Performs the initial set-up and check-out of new slot machines.
  • Responsible for the break-down, relocation, and set-up of relocated slot machines and stands.
  • Verifies that all slot games communicate accurately with internal systems for accounting purposes; researches and resolves issues that arise with same.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all local jurisdictional gaming laws (federal, state, and local) and attendant regulations as well as company internal controls.
  • Participates in slot department special projects in a team environment by interpreting gaming documents, gathering material necessary to complete the project, including RAM clears, machine moves, conversions, and upgrades.
  • Perform other duties pertaining to the slot department
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Must possess basic math skill to make change with coin and currency
  • Walk the casino floor up to 10 hours
  • Previous customer experience preferred
  • Create an entertainment environment for all guests.
  • Upbeat personality for all interactions with guests and fellow team members
  • Must know and understand the Title 31 procedures
  • Ability to communicate special promotions to our guest.
  • Exercise appropriate discretion in identifying situations that require management attention.
  • Ability to handle & secure keys within departmental guidelines
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a Gaming license through the state of Maine
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Heaving lifting required; Ability to pick up 200 lbs. At other times, the work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking and climbing; recurring bending, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting, or similar activities. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as above average agility and dexterity. The work environment is one with possible exposure to prolonged loud noise.
