The Doorman is responsible for managing the entrance experience, maintaining the room's capacity and atmosphere, and ensuring all guests meet our dress code and standards. This role is professional, well-presented, observant, and hospitality-minded without being overly conversational. The priority is smooth operations, safety, and upholding the brand.
Responsibilities
Greet guests with a professional, confident presence
Manage entry flow, capacity, and the queue during peak hours
Enforce dress code and house rules clearly and respectfully
Check IDs and verify age requirements
Maintain order, monitor guest behavior, and identify potential issues
Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding capacity, wait times, and any concerns
Support line control and crowd management in a calm, controlled manner
Maintain a polished, well-dressed appearance consistent with Lo Key's elevated aesthetic
Assist with VIP or reservation arrivals when necessary
Respond quickly and discreetly to guest issues, safety concerns, or escalations
Requirements
Prior experience in nightlife, security, or high-volume hospitality preferred
Strong communication skills; composed, assertive, and respectful
Ability to de-escalate situations and handle difficult conversations
Professional, clean, and stylish appearance
Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors managing the door
Must be 21+
Punctual, reliable, and comfortable working late nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $21.89 - $26.36 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
