Job Description


DESCRIPTION

Ring is looking for an experienced technical product leader to be responsible for the consumer software product portfolio, leading a team focused on elevating the customer journey across Ring mobile apps, web, and extensions. You will drive the strategy and vision for the group, overseeing the development, management and launch of new features for our current mobile apps and website, and lead product development on a new, fully integrated experiences for Ring customers.

This is a high-profile role that owns the communication, coordination, and execution of full-lifecycle programs. You will collaborate and influence cross-functional leadership across Ring and Amazon including Hardware, Engineering, Design, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal, PR, and more.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the product vision, strategy and roadmaps for Ring\'s iOS and Android apps; connecting them to our full product and service line across applications and devices.
  • Hire and develop a team of world-class product managers, providing guidance and direction to achieve the product vision and strategy.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, Design, Hardware Product, and Subscriptions Teams to define the product roadmap, feature/functionality development, use cases, and market opportunities.
  • Manage delivery of current products concurrently with future product planning.
  • Manage the execution of initiatives from ideation through launch, while setting and managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Define metrics for success and analyze and create dashboards for key metrics.
  • Regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility, ensuring your program stays aligned with organization objectives.
  • Balance customer and business needs versus technical constraints, and make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize driving the biggest impact for the customer and the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

We\'re looking for a highly experienced technical product leader with strong business acumen, demonstrated experience leading large scale mobile apps, understands subscription business models, and can translate them into product features. You have keen sense of design and understand seamless end to end customer experiences that span multiple digital touchpoints. You have an insatiable appetite for understanding your customers and are relentless in finding solutions that meet their needs across a variety of surfaces.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, economics, marketing, math, finance, engineering or similar fields.
  • 15+ years of product management experience building/launching large-scale consumer tech products/services with at least 7-years mobile (iOS/Android) product management experience.
  • 7+ years as a people manager at scale (teams 30+) including individual contributors and manager roles - able to inspire, coach, develop, and grow geographically dispersed, high-performing cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop product business cases.
  • Experience navigating and working successfully within a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Executive-level product ownership including product definition, multiple release cycles, and adoption success
  • Subscription product experience
  • Demonstrated success leading through influence, without direct authority, building engagement, and partnering across organizations at the highest level, including engineering and design teams.
  • History of supporting decisions through business analysis and data, while maintaining a balance with intuition and creativity.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $237,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
