Director
Western Maine Regional Program for Children With Exceptionalities (WMRPCE)

This is regional program comprising MSAD/RSU 17, MSAD/RSU 72, and RSU 44 is seeking a dynamic Director.
The program, located in Oxford ME, is for students in grades 6-12. Applicants should have a Masters degree in special education or a related field. This person should have experience working with students with challenging behaviors and autism, be knowledgeable of the special education process and regulations, and be appropriately certified to supervise staff in such a program.
Traits should also include excellent skills in the following areas:
  • Collaboration and communication
  • Organization
  • Job initiative
  • Ability to think and act appropriately and quickly
  • Behavior regulation strategies

Successful candidates must hold Maine Administrator Certification and able to supervise staff and students with special education services. Preference will be given to those with administrative and supervisory experience.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.

  • Delivering strong literacy instruction across content areas;
  • Helping student develop skills to apply, interpret, analyze, and evaluate the vast, ever-expanding amount of information;
  • Employing effective lesson design by adjusting to students\xe2\x80\x99 personal learning needs and preferences, including appropriate technology applications.
