The Director of Sales Development is a senior member of the Sales Excellence team and is responsible for establishing training capabilities, content, processes, and providing management for the rapid delivery of new and updated training classes and material that properly meet target audience needs and consistently represents the mission and vision of the Straumann Group North American Organization.

The Director of Sales Development a team of Training Managers and is overall responsible for the management of course and content development, the management of resources to deliver the content and ongoing performance management to ensure training is efficient and effective. Training types include instructor led, online, blended, and documentation driven. The Director of Sales Development will ensure training is consistent with outbound messaging and market and regulatory expectations for the Straumann Group North American Organization.

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Leads the design, strategy, and development of the Straumann Group University sales process training program for the North American Organization.

Proactively identifies training needs through alignment with appropriate stakeholders, and develops, implements, and evaluates training tools and e-learning options for all levels of the sales organization, from onboarding to senior leadership programs.

Provide strategic direction and solutions that help to support the Straumann Group North American Organization\xe2\x80\x99s long\xe2\x80\x90term performance management strategy.

Aligns with senior leadership to ensure training programs align with key strategic initiatives.

Identifies and engages external consultants/partners, including directing and monitoring their work. Works with vendors and subject matter experts to deliver comprehensive learning solutions.

Responsible for innovation in learning design and the development of a range of delivery methods to meet the needs of the business, including the ongoing development of e-learning.

Implements quality controls and continual improvement processes to maintain training content and delivery mechanisms that represents the Straumann Group North American Organization

Manages the Training budget to ensure best use of available funds.

Manages the Field Training Managers, ensuring development and growth of the team.

Managers the Field Sales Training program, ensuring proper training of the team and deployment to the field

Oversees the logistics and processes for ongoing training

Manage two field sales trainers on a daily basis

Travel up to 50%

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in any discipline \xe2\x80\x93 OR \xe2\x80\x93 4+ years sales experience in lieu of education

5 + years of sales experience

1+ years managing sales representatives

Preferred Qualifications:

Solid foundation in adult education principles and knowledge of instructor\xe2\x80\x90led, self\xe2\x80\x90directed web\xe2\x80\x90based, and blended learning methodologies with a passion for developing others

Strong Project Management skills

Strong ability to collaborate and effectively partner with all organization levels and third\xe2\x80\x90party contacts in a dynamic and maturing initiative

Strong competency in content, process, and metrics development

Ability to implement training services, process and manage the continuous improvement feedback loop

Experience in advising business leads on strategic solutions that ultimately drive superior performance

Strong interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\x90 both internally and with vendors

Self\xe2\x80\x90motivated

Strong communication skills; written and verbal

Proven record of successfully delivering projects with people of disparate backgrounds and job functions

Proven history of adding value through creativity and hard work

Preferred work history of successfully developing and managing sales representatives

Knowledge of healthcare industry
