Director of Recreation

Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, and oversee a full schedule of recreational programs and events tailored to residents' needs and interests Supervise and mentor recreation staff and volunteers Ensure all activities promote the physical, social, cognitive, and emotional well-being of residents Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines Coordinate community partnerships and special events Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident-centered care

Requirements (Required):

Must hold a current certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and/or be a certified Activity Director (ADC) Experience in a recreation or activities leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or healthcare setting High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Social Work, or a related field preferred) Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Compassionate, energetic, and resident-focused mindset Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to recreation in healthcare settings
