A multigenerational family seeks a seasoned Director of Real Estate (DoRE) to oversee a significant U.S. and international portfolio of residential, commercial, and specialty properties. The portfolio includes a flagship estate in Wyoming, additional family residences, vacation homes in the Caribbean and Mexico, and a commercial real estate portfolio.
This newly created leadership role will report directly to the Principals and serve as the key executive responsible for property operations, construction and design projects, vendor and facilities management, budgeting, and long-term stewardship. The DoRE will balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution while ensuring discretion, value, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all real estate operations across residential and commercial holdings.
Oversee property managers, facilities teams, and vendors to ensure quality and accountability.
Manage preventative maintenance programs, capital projects, and emergency preparedness.
Direct design, construction, and renovation projects from planning through completion.
Negotiate contracts, oversee budgets, and ensure financial discipline across the portfolio.
Maintain comprehensive property records, documentation, and digital systems.
Provide clear, concise communication with Principals and Family Office staff.
Foster collaboration across household, facilities, and external professional teams.
Qualifications
10+ years of leadership experience in luxury residential/commercial real estate, construction, or facilities management.
Proven expertise in high-service, high-accountability environments.
Strong contract negotiation, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
Experience in design, construction oversight, and owner's representation.
Knowledge of zoning, permitting, and regulatory processes in Wyoming/Mountain West strongly preferred.
Familiarity with operating properties in mountainous, four-season climates.
Technologically fluent; skilled in property/project management tools and smart home/AV/IT systems.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Additional Information
Location: Based in or near Jackson Hole, Wyoming (required).
Travel: Regular domestic and international travel to properties.
