The Courville at Manchester is a small, locally owned and operated skilled nursing and long-term care community in Manchester, NH. We are accepting applications for a full-time Director of Nursing Services to join our management team. The successful candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in a long-term care setting.

Position Overview: The Director of Nursing is responsible for the coordination of care for all residents as well as overseeing the nursing department. She or he will be familiar with the rules and regulations required by CMS and the state of NH and ensure that all nursing staff are in compliance.

Job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Work with unit managers, nurses, and LNAs to meet the medical needs of each resident
  • Interview all nursing candidates and foster a team with high morale: a positive outlook, attitude, satisfaction, and confidence in the workplace
  • Foster a quality-focused, patient-first culture that promotes employee collaboration and teamwork
  • Establish relationships with family members so they are comfortable coming to you to discuss their loved one
  • Oversee scheduling to ensure the building is properly staffed
  • Help with approving time-off requests, attend interdisciplinary team meetings, and various management tasks as needed
  • Attend all QA and safety meetings
  • Maintain all accident and incident reports and file proper documentation when required
Minimum requirements include but are not limited to:
  • Must possess a current and active RN license in the state of New Hampshire and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident\'s condition
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility
  • All applicants must possess, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN/LPN/LVN program.
