Family & Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) is a comprehensive nonprofit that has been serving its community for over 50 years. Our mission is to assist youth and families through supportive services that create a positive change in Porter County. Our agency has an opening for a part-time Director of Development & Community Relations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success working with Porter County businesses and organizations. Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement yearly development strategy
- Create and oversee new fundraising activities and events
- Develop and update all agency materials
- Create distribution strategy
- Produce agency newsletter
- Update agency website
- Create and update social media content
- Attend and give presentations at community meetings and events
- Work closely with CEO and provide reports as requested
- Write, distribute and network with reporters for press releases
- Manage, update and maintain agency donor database
- Identify and develop relations with new and prospective individual and/or corporate donors
- Coordinate and manage the Development Auxiliary Committee
- Bachelor degree in marketing or similar
- 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of fundraising
- Microsoft Office & donor database software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Resourcefulness, creativity and strong problem solving skills
- Highly organized and detail orientated
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Professionalism
- Flexible schedule
- Paid time off
- Monday to Friday
