Director of Business Development

The Director of Business Development will promote the services of the Coleman Institute for Addiction Medicine and AppleGate Recovery throughout the region by building relationships with existing and new referral sources, identifying new partners and market opportunities, explaining our programs to potential patients and family members, and raising brand awareness.

As Virginia\xe2\x80\x99s premier outpatient addiction treatment center for over 25 years, our focus is on helping people get into long-term recovery from opioids, alcohol, and benzodiazepines. Recognizing that different approaches work best for different people, our experienced team of professionals in Richmond, VA offers multiple treatment modalities (Outpatient Detox, and Medication-Assisted Treatment using either naltrexone or buprenorphine).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective outreach strategies, using multiple contact channels to expand awareness, develop trust, and cultivate long-term referral relationships
  • Provide community education about Substance Use Disorder and convey benefits of our treatment services to influencers and referral sources in our service area
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with decision makers to understand needs, identify and resolve barriers to establishing successful community partnerships and referral relationships
  • Assist with public relations outreach through speaking engagements, in-service training events, conferences and other involvement in community organizations and co-marketing opportunities with allied healthcare professionals
  • Provide outstanding service to referral sources and prospective patients to ensure efficient referral and admission processes
  • Develop and implement marketing and referral development plans to identify referral opportunities and increase program utilization
  • Work with other leaders to develop and refine messaging around service offerings through all touch points to strengthen and expand brand awareness
  • Track, monitor, and report changes in the marketplace
  • Use a customer relationship database system (CRM) to capture data and provider reporting on outreach program performance
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve our marketing, sales, and intake processes, and to promote patient health and well-being
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in marketing or related field
  • Five years\' experience in a sales position, preferably in behavioral healthcare/addiction treatment
  • Ability to develop regional marketing plan that integrates with the company\xe2\x80\x99s overall strategy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with partners, potential patients, colleagues, and senior management
  • Innovative thinker and creative problem solver
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
