Job Description


Reporting to the VP of Sales & Business Development , the Director, Business Development and Community Relations will interact with local, state, and federal legislative bodies and government agencies to represent, educate and expand the organization\xe2\x80\x99s business plans and interests. They will also design and plan initiatives to create and maintain a positive public image for the company. They will operate as the primary face person for CloudWyze in the region, which includes responsibilities to nurture relationships with key government customers. They will often be the first point of contact with a new potential client when they are seeking information on the products and services CloudWyze provides. Responsibilities

  • Drives new business development in the state, local & Education (SLED) market to achieve annual sales goals for the region.
  • Develop Market Awareness through networking, presentations, event attendance and industry associations.
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Builds and maintains professional relationships with members of local and potentially state government entities and agencies.
  • Collaborates with industry advocates to build areas of common interest.
  • Understanding Cloudwyze CRM systems to appropriately document leads and successfully move opportunities through the stages of the sales lifecycle . In addition, on urgent matters, may communicate via Teams, email, or other methods as best to meet an urgent opportunity or complaint.
  • Develops and implements a long-term plan to communicate the company\'s mission statement to key community stakeholders.
  • Helps distribute press releases and other public-facing communication and marketing collateral.
  • Promotes community events involving the company.
  • Researches regional organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities, including business development and networking organizations.
  • Develops goals with the VP of Sales & Business Development to address business development efforts and business growth in the region.
  • Keep an \xe2\x80\x9cear to the ground\xe2\x80\x9d in rural communities and regularly apprise CW Leadership, Sales, and Marketing, as well as the Task Force of relevant community news.
  • Coordinate education efforts for citizens by building educational programs for the rural community. This includes coordinating vendors, agencies, and partners to build courses, workshops, events, and campaigns for internet advocacy in rural NC.
Metrics
  • Leads: Number of leads generated per month for residential and Commercial that aligns with CW targeted Leads goals per quarter for 2023: phone, in person, or through other communications, who express interest in CloudWyze services.
  • Revenue Goals: Track and establish quarterly revenue goals of all the active Lead generation activities that convert to Subscriber ( Residential and Commercial)
  • Scheduled Appointments: calendared and accepted in-person or video conferences scheduled. (15 contacts per week across the target markets, all Networking events included in this number )
  • Networking event attendance: chambers of commerce, Rotary, trade associations and industry committees.
  • Number of new neighborhoods identified for business expansion efforts.
  • Rural citizens\xe2\x80\x99 digital literacy and broader access to functional internet in nearby communities.

  • Is comfortable interacting with customers, suppliers, vendors, politicians, community leaders and CloudWyze team through various stages of business development initiatives.
  • Use social competence and relationship management skills to understand customer moods, behaviors, and buying motives to improve the quality of the relationship
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Relations, or related field required; advanced degree a plus, but not required.
  • 7+ years of experience in advocacy or public policy is required.
  • Strong government contacts at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits:
