Roadway, LLC is seeking an experienced and compassionate
Director of Assisted Living
to oversee daily operations within our senior care community. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep knowledge of assisted living and long-term care practices, and a commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care.
This leadership role manages staff oversight, regulatory compliance, resident support, and operational efficiency. The Director will ensure that all residents--including those with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, and developmental disabilities--receive individualized and dignified care in a supportive and engaging environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all aspects of assisted living operations, including resident care, staff performance, and facility maintenance.
Develop, implement, and oversee individualized care plans for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care needs, or other physical and cognitive challenges.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing assisted living, long-term care, and home and community-based services.
Oversee medication administration processes to ensure accuracy, safety, and adherence to healthcare standards.
Manage staffing schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and provide staff training and clinical oversight.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, case managers, and community partners to support resident well-being and satisfaction.
Monitor budgets, manage financial operations, and optimize resource allocation to ensure organizational efficiency.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and resident-centered environment that promotes independence, safety, and engagement.
Lead resident activity programming, social work initiatives, and community engagement activities.
Maintain accurate documentation, including health records, care plans, incident reports, and compliance materials.
Requirements
Must hold an active Assisted Living Director (ALD) License in the State of Minnesota.
Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home administration, or long-term care management.
Supervisory or leadership experience required.
Strong background in dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and supporting residents with developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of care planning, medication administration protocols, and state/federal regulations governing senior living communities.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
Strong organizational skills, including budgeting and operations management in healthcare settings.
Compassionate, resident-centered approach with a focus on dignity, safety, and quality of life.
Relevant licensure or certification in nursing, social work, gerontology, or related field preferred (in addition to ALD license); equivalent experience considered.
Ability to handle sensitive resident situations with professionalism, compliance, and empathy.
